Great reminder of "if not me, then whom? If not now, then when?'!

Great content - thank you so much! It's always a struggle to stay positive and motivated to "stick around" if you know what I mean. I needed this today. Although it is always so frustrating to learn that most Buddhists are not vegan. I don't understand how is that even possible???

While lying in bed this morning before getting up, I was thinking about how I have never really wanted to be here on the planet. At the beginning of Covid, I fostered a dog that I felt so deeply connected to because I knew she felt the same way. She was adopted and when they put her under anesthesia to clean her teeth she died. Thank you so much for this post. It's so helpful to know that I am not the only one and this perspective on it.

I relate to this very deeply, I often have the thought of ‚I don’t belong on this earth, I am not made for this, take me away‘ and every day is another day of braving the world and all of the living hells that exist in it.

As a Ming Dynasty philosopher put it, "Knowledge is the beginning of practice; doing is the completion of knowing." Once we know, we are compelled to do.

Thank you for sharing this, it truly resonates with me🙏 As I do not have fellow vegans around me, I feel alone, and that the burden is sometimes too much to bear. It helps to see that more people feel the same way, and that there are many good souls out there.

As someone who was brought up as a Theravada Buddhist, I love this. To me, this piece is a melancholic reminder that there can be no enlightenment of the individual while our fellow sentient beings are in eternal torment.

Beautifully written. Buddha’s teachings are indeed about integrating vipassana meditation into daily life. Which leads to boundless compassion over time. He himself taught till his last breath.

Thank you .. as a grandmother I have feelings about time running out and have I done all I could humanly do to ease suffering, while meanwhile participating in the rat race and paying a mortgage. What will this place be like for my grandchildren? Veganism is the least I could do yet it seems beyond the reach for most.
